Anna Gaebler

Anna serves as Y.O.U.'s AmeriCorps VISTA 1911 Partnerships Assistant.Anna_Gaebler.jpg

As the Americorps VISTA 1911 Partnerships Assistant at Y.O.U., Anna seeks to build long-lasting connections with partners using an asset-based approach that empowers community members.

Originally from Oak Park, IL, she is thrilled to have recently relocated from the East Coast back to the much friendlier Midwest. In Boston, Anna earned a degree in American Studies at Tufts University, a program which emphasized analyzing and dismantling systems of oppression. After graduating, she worked at a labor union, helping workers win a living wage and better working conditions.

Talk to Anna about community organizing, workers' rights, and movement building - or, for a lighter topic, she is also always down to chat about anything bike-related. In her time outside of Y.O.U, you can find Anna biking all around the city, at her housing co-op hanging out with her 18 roommates, or with her nose tucked in a book. She is excited to build new skills and relationships at Y.O.U. and engage with the Evanston community.
