Emma is a Skokie native, having lived in Skokie for nearly 15 years. She graduated from The University of Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, a minor in Human Relations, and a certificate in Critical Cultural Competence.
Emma joined Y.O.U. in 2016 as an AmeriCorps Y.O.Uth Serve member for Edison Elementary school. She is very excited to now be serving Evanston Township High School. Emma is a passionate advocate for social justice and social change, with a special interest for equity in the education system.
Emma's long-term goal is to obtain a Master's degree in Social Work and Public Policy. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, listening to music, and exploring Netflix! "To educate a child is to turn walls into doors."
