Law & Law Enforcement
Back
Law
is a term we are acquainted with since our childhood though we didn’t know the exact meaning then. We may even end up following a law or law enforcement – especially after watching those witty lawyers arguing in the courtroom on TV – without still knowing what we are getting into. So what is law and what is law enforcement?
Is being a lawyer the only option in the field of law? Of course not! We have a number of professions in this field such as that of a judge, litigation lawyer, corporate lawyer, academician or legal adviser in corporate firms. The
law enforcement
sector includes all those jobs which help to make sure that the law is respected by people. This means police officers, forensic & detective services and even the military are part of law enforcement.
Careers in these fields require one to be observant (paying attention to small details), bold, alert and fast thinking and have a good command over language (specifically for lawyers). Most law and law enforcement jobs are unlikely to be your usual 9 to 5 jobs. The very nature of the jobs is such that you might have to work any time of the day as and when the duty calls for it! So you need to be prepared to follow such work schedule.
No doubt, these are some of the most interesting jobs as well as very challenging! Some, but not all, of these jobs also need to have Indian citizenship: this includes litigation lawyers, judges or police officers.
