 Recently YOTA conducted a survey to find out more about the difficulties Tibetan youths in Delhi are facing in the area of employment. YOTA then made several recommendations and is now using this material to provide appropriate advice and training opportunities for youths. We held a Youth Employment Conference in December 2004. We are now providing regular careers workshops (generally at the Tibetan Youth Hostel and in Majnu-ka-Tilla) and scholarships for professional training. (Keep an eye on the News & Events page). We are currently also supporting three entrepreneurs. We are also establishing contacts with potential employers and seek job and internship opportunities for Tibetan youths. TRF is one of the oldest NGOs to help Tibetans in exile. The TRF has completed a number of projects in Tibet, Nepal and north-eastern states of India. The TRF is also organising the on-going sponsorship of a thousand Tibetan children and other refugees, as well as funding educational, medical, cultural and other projects within Tibetan refugee communities.
