Allahabad University |

Anna University |
Anna University was established on 4th September 1978 as a unitary type of University. The university is based in Chennai. The Anna University, which is of the affiliated type is a member of the Association of Indian Universities, the Association of Commonwealth Universities and Partner of UNESCO International Centre for Engineering Education (UICEE). UGC have accredited Anna University with Five Star Status in 2002 which is the highest rating. With proven capabilities both in academic and research areas, Anna University was able to receive this honour for a period of five years for excellence in Technical Education. |

Goa University |
The University was established in June 1985 around the nucleus of Centre for Post Graduate Instruction and Research of the University of Bombay in Goa. The University Campus is located on the outskirts of Panaji, the capital city and spread over nearly 173 hectares on the Taleigao plateau overlooking the scenic Zuari River joining the Arabian Sea.
In recognition of Goa University's efforts in overall development of course structure, students, faculty and infrastructure and the quality and standard of education/research, NAAC has accredited the University with the 4 star status for a five year period from March, 2001.

JNU |
JNU is a green belt situated in Aravalli (rocky terrain) range, which provides the right ambience for an academic campus.
Several Centres in these Schools have been declared by the UGC to be Centres of 'Excellence'. These are Centre for Historical Studies, Centre for the Study of Social Systems, Centre for Political Studies, Centre for Economic Studies and Planing, Centre for the Study of Regional Development, all in the School of Social Sciences. In addition three Science Schools--School of Physical Sciences, School of Life Sciences and School of Environmental Sciences have also received the UGC recognition as Centers for Excellence.

In July 1854, the Court of Directors of the East India Company sent a
'despatch' to the Governor General of India in Council suggesting the
establishment of the Universities of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay.
In pursuance of the despatch, the University of Calcutta was founded on
January 24,1857 by the incorporation of an Act of the Legislative Council
(Act No. II of 1857)

University of Delhi |
The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. Only three colleges existed then in Delhi: St. Stephens College founded in 1881, Hindu College founded in 1899 and Ramjas College founded in 1917, which were affiliated to the University. The University thus had a modest beginning with just three colleges, two faculties (Arts and Science) and about 750 students. In October 1933, the University offices and the Library shifted to the Viceregal Lodge Estate, and till today this site is the nucleus of the University (Main Campus). Apart from central administrative offices, examination offices and the sports complex, the main departments of the Faculty of Science are housed in the Viceregal Lodge Estate.
