Kayla grew up on the East Coast near DC in Montgomery County. She moved to Baltimore to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Forensic Studies at University of Baltimore and completed her degree in the spring of 2020. She graduated summa cum laude and was an active member of Phi Alpha Sigma and the local community. When not engaged in food drives and volunteering at the food pantry, she championed bridging education and hunger gaps within marginalized communities affected by socioeconomic inequalities. Kayla relocated to work as a Y.O.Uth Serve Member to carry on her passion for service. In her free time, you can find her in a bookstore, roaming a museum, or curled up in a coffee shop with a pen and paper (pre-Covid/Covid permitting). She is excited for all the changes the next year will bring!
