We are always looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the community!

At Y.O.U., we believe that every child has the potential to achieve greatness with the right support and guidance. By becoming a volunteer, you can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of youth at schools in Evanston and Skokie, Illinois. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children!

We have several different ongoing and one-time opportunities for volunteers to get involved with Y.O.U. and support our youth!

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of daily lessons
  • Provide homework support for youth
  • Assist with daily enrichment groups
  • Build positive relationships with youth that support their success and well-being
  • Supervise youth during program hours Help youth build healthy positive relationships with each other, with adults, and with their families
  • Support Y.O.U. staff during program

Volunteer Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • Commit to volunteering 1.5 hours twice a week for one academic semester
  • Complete a background check
  • Complete volunteer training (in-person for 1.5 hours)
  • Complete Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training
  • Have a passion for Y.O.U.’s mission
  • Possess an open, nonjudgmental attitude
