Jocelyn works as the Human Resource Generalist at Y.O.U.

Jocelyn Davis is a former Evanston Entrepreneur who founded Akemi Fitness Method, which started as a local Fitness studio in downtown Evanston and evolved into a Health and Wellness Center for Women,JOCELYN DAVIS.JPG Men, and Youth. Her business sustained 8 years of service in the Evanston and Northshore areas. During her tenor as founder and owner of Akemi Fitness Method, Jocelyn has had the opportunity to teach fitness classes to the staff at The Oprah Show-Harpo Studios for over 5 seasons and has been featured in Time Out Chicago and Yoga Journal. Jocelyn has also appeared on Chicago’s NBC5 and WGN in their fitness segments.

Jocelyn has had over 15 years of experience in Senior Management roles in retail, Target, and most recently as a People Manager for Kroger. Jocelyn is thrilled to join Y.O.U. and is excited to partner with families, schools, and the community to close the opportunity gap and build meaningful, trusting relationships with Y.O.U. staff.
