Joi-Anissa Russell is the Executive Director of Advancement at Y.O.U. Most recently, she served with the Financial Aid Team at Northwestern University as the Director of Major Gifts, raising six and seven-figure gifts from generous parents and alumni. She was also instrumental in helping Norris set up its Nexus Gaming Lounge with the support of alumni parents who furnished the lounge with gaming consoles, cushioned seating, and a refreshment station. With more than 30 years of experience in working with individual donors, family foundations, and corporations, she provides a customized donor experience and shares the importance of youth development and leadership programs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and believes everyone needs to enjoy Evanston green spaces, summer bike rides, and a good book.
